Beni Egressy

Beni Egressy was a Hungarian composer born on April 21, 1814. He was active during the early to mid-19th century, a period marked by Romantic musical developments in Europe. Egressy contributed to Hungarian music with his compositions, which reflected the nationalistic trends of his time.

He died relatively young, at the age of 37, on July 17, 1851. Despite his short life, Egressy is recognized for his role in Hungary's musical history during a formative era for the country's cultural identity.
